Im Hussein was first introduced to audiences when AJYAL founder, Najee, had to step in to play the character when the actress had an emergency days before the character’s debut. Since then, her antics have left us laughing at her, and ourselves, and she has become a memorable caricature, whose episodes have felt all too familiar. The hilarious AJYAL Theatrical Troupe joins the Festival of Arabic Music and Arts for the first time in its 8th edition to present Im Hussein in “My One and Only” in Mississauga.

Pink Martini featuring China Forbes

Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world–crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop–and hoping to appeal to conservatives and liberals alike, he founded the “little orchestra” Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education and parks. One year later, Lauderdale called China Forbes, a Harvard classmate who was living in New York City, and asked her to join Pink Martini.

C’mon and join Blippi to make music in your hometown in the brand new live Blippi: Join the Band Tour! Blippi will be joined onstage by Meekah, their singing and dancing buddies and LIVE musicians to explore what makes music, including sounds, rhythms and instruments, through all your favorite Blippi hits. So grab your drumsticks, tune up your guitar, and move those feet with Blippi and get ready for a musical performance that’s fun for the whole family.

There is a post-show photo experience opportunity add on for $50 per person. All participants MUST have a photo experience ticket as well as an event ticket to enter.

The most receptive to hypnosis then join Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is it, Anyway?) to improvise the rest of the show, while hypnotized. HYPROV is “hilarious and fascinating” (says Time Out New York) and is “catnip for those who relish spontaneity and informality,” (The Wall Street Journal). The New Yorker says, “say yes to HYPROV,” and Forbes says “Crazy Comedy.”
This show includes audience participation. Only ticket purchasers on the orchestra level can be called up to the stage to volunteer and they must be 18+ to volunteer.
