The season opens with Feu Monsieur Feydeau !, running from October 24 to November 3, 2024. This production celebrates the wit and fast-paced humour of French playwright Georges Feydeau, renowned for his farcical comedies. Following in December, TfT presents Les Zinspiré·e·s: le nombre sublime (December 5, 2024 to January 10, 2025), an anthology of plays written by young talents. This popular production allows emerging voices to explore issues relevant to today’s youth in a format that’s as thought-provoking as it is entertaining.
The spring lineup continues with Crawlspace on March 5 and 6, 2025, offering an intimate and darkly humorous story of a couple’s struggle with homeownership. Cet été qui chantait, showing from March 26 to 29, 2025, will transport audiences into a lyrical exploration of memory and longing. Wrapping up the general audience season are Cispersonnages en quête d’auteurice (April 24 to 26, 2025), a modern twist on Pirandello’s classic, and Michel(le), which delves into questions of identity and self-discovery from May 21 to 24, 2025.
TfT is also dedicated to creating theatrical experiences for younger audiences, starting with Le problème avec le rose (January 15 to 18, 2025), a play that addresses issues of identity and self-expression. In February, Survie du vivant, a theatrical scientific conference running from February 26 to March 1, 2025, brings young audiences into the world of ecology, exploring sustainability and humanity’s impact on the environment. Nombre, running from March 18 to April 26, 2024, rounds out the youth program, blending theatre and math in an innovative, educational production.
With its 2024-2025 season, TfT reaffirms its commitment to dynamic storytelling, cultural expression, and engaging Toronto’s francophone community in the power of live theatre. Each production is an invitation to connect with French culture, language, and the shared human experience, making TfT a cornerstone of Toronto’s vibrant arts scene.
