Metro Toronto Convention Centre
Nissan commemorates its 60th anniversary in Canada with a dynamic showcase at the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto. The event features the debut of the all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks, Murano, and Armada, alongside two unique project vehicles: Project Trailgater and the Frontier TARMAC Concept. Attendees also have the opportunity to test drive the all-electric Nissan ARIYA on the show’s indoor EV track.
Brent Smith, Director of Marketing at Nissan Canada Inc., expressed enthusiasm about the milestone, stating, “We are thrilled to be part of the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow, especially as we celebrate Nissan’s 60th anniversary in Canada.” He emphasized the company’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction, highlighting the diverse range of features and options tailored to the Canadian market.
Project Trailgater
Developed in collaboration with PowerNation TV’s “Music City Trucks,” Project Trailgater elevates the tailgating experience by merging outdoor adventure with game-day festivities. Based on the 2025 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X, this custom build is equipped with NISMO Off-Road accessories, including a lift kit, high-performance suspension, bed rack, cargo cases, off-road lighting, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Additional features cater to outdoor enthusiasts, such as two 43-inch weatherproof TVs, electric coolers, a grill, and even a kitchen sink.
Frontier TARMAC Concept
The Frontier TARMAC Concept pays homage to the sport and muscle trucks of yesteryears. This unique street truck is a collaboration between Nissan Motorsports, Nissan Design America, and Forsberg Racing. It boasts striking Afterburn Orange paint, complemented by carbon fibre accents, including an aggressive widebody kit, vented hood, roof cap, spoiler, wheels, and aero components. Under the hood, a Roots-style supercharger, prototype NISMO cold air intake, and custom NISMO exhaust system boost the standard 3.8L V6 engine to an impressive 400 horsepower. Performance enhancements include a high-performance big brake kit with 15-inch floating two-piece rotors and mounts, utilizing brake callipers from the Nissan Z NISMO. The vehicle rides on carbon-barreled NISMO TARMAC 20-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan tires, supported by a prototype NISMO high-performance suspension kit with adjustable coilovers.
All-New 2025 Nissan Kicks
The all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks redefines the compact crossover segment with advanced technology, versatile design, and the introduction of Intelligent All-Wheel Drive—a first for the Kicks lineup. This model is now available at dealerships nationwide.
Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow, welcomed Nissan’s participation, stating, “We are excited to welcome Nissan back for another year at the Canadian International AutoShow. Sixty years is a significant milestone, and we look forward to offering attendees the chance to experience the brand’s innovative lineup and celebrate this remarkable achievement.”
