Markham Jazzlicious WinterFest 2025 is set to make its much-anticipated return, promising a vibrant fusion of world-class jazz and exceptional culinary experiences. This annual festival has quickly become a cornerstone of Markham’s cultural calendar, drawing foodies, music lovers, and culture enthusiasts across the region. Running from late January through March, the festival will feature six unique events, each pairing outstanding live jazz performances with curated menus from some of the city’s finest chefs. Whether you’re a jazz aficionado, a gourmet dining enthusiast, or simply someone seeking a memorable evening out, Jazzlicious WinterFest delivers an immersive experience that celebrates the very best of Markham’s thriving cultural scene. Event Schedule:
- Series 1: January 21–25
- Artist: Alex Bird & The Jazz Mavericks, two-time JUNO Award nominees.
- Venue: SMASH Kitchen & Bar.
- Culinary Highlight: Executive Chef Isaac Co will craft an exceptional menu to complement the evening’s performances.
- Series 2: January 28–February 1
- Artist: Jill Barber, three-time JUNO Award nominee.
- Venue: Essence of Unionville, located in the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites.
- Culinary Highlight: Executive Chef Jitin Gaba will enhance the soulful sounds with a specially curated menu.
- Series 3: February 4–8
- Artist: Tanika Charles, two-time JUNO Award nominee.
- Venue: Laz Authentic Cuisine.
- Culinary Highlight: Executive Chef and Owner Diakhia Lezama will prepare a spectacular meal paired with outstanding jazz performances.
- Series 4: February 26–28
- Artist: Nicole Zuraitis, 2024 Grammy Award winner.
- Venue: Draco at Toronto Marriott Markham.
- Culinary Highlight: Executive Chef Bill Jewer will offer a thoughtfully curated menu, elevating the dining experience with his creative culinary expertise.
- Series 5: March 4–8
- Artist: Jay Douglas All-Star Band, two-time JUNO Award nominee.
- Venue: Rouge River Brewing Company.
- Culinary Highlight: Brewery Owner and Head Brewer Jordan Mills, along with Pizza Chef Jezza, will offer an innovative beer and food pairing experience featuring artisanal pizzas.
- Series 6: March 18–22
- Artist & Venue: To be announced, adding an element of surprise to the festival’s conclusion.
