Running from November 23, 2024, to January 5, 2025, this magical event is a celebration of the beauty and joy that light brings during the festive season.
A Spectacular Display of Holiday Magic
Let It Glow transforms Rennie Park in Port Dalhousie and select areas in Downtown St. Catharines into winter wonderlands, with dazzling light installations, holiday-themed displays, and an atmosphere that radiates warmth and cheer. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by festive lights of all colours, creating a breathtaking sight that’s perfect for families, friends, and visitors of all ages. From twinkling trees to beautifully crafted light sculptures, every corner of the park and downtown area is a visual delight. Meanwhile, Downtown St. Catharines features a combination of street lights, storefront decorations, and larger-than-life displays that bring the festive spirit to the heart of the city.

Nestled on the shore of Martindale Pond, Rennie Park will be aglow with thousands of twinkling lights. Have fun creating your very own Grinch tree! The City of St. Catharines and The Watering Can present the Kids Winter Workshop on Friday, November 29 to help keep your youngsters busy on the PD Day.
Santa at Market Square

On Saturdays in December, families are invited to visit Market Square for a meet-and-greet with Santa. Enjoy complimentary professional photos with Santa, perfect for holiday cards. While you’re there, explore the St. Catharines Farmers’ Market for fresh, local goods and holiday gifts.

In addition to celebrating the season, Let It Glow also highlights the importance of giving back. The event is organized by Love St. Catharines and partners with local charities to encourage community involvement. Mitten Tree Campaign
December 1 – 31 | St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
Help local families in need with donations of winter clothing to the museum’s annual Mitten Tree Campaign. Bring a pair of mittens, hats, scarves, and other winter wear to decorate the Mitten Tree. This campaign benefits Out of the Cold and Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
