From November 23, 2024, to March 16, 2025, Mississauga’s Celebration Square transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland with Winter Magic, a spectacular seasonal celebration offering activities, events, and unforgettable experiences for all ages.
Enchanting Light Displays
Step into a world of illuminated beauty with mesmerizing light installations that brighten the winter nights. Stroll through dazzling displays featuring sparkling arches, glowing trees, and magical sculptures. Capture Instagram-worthy moments at the iconic Celebration Square Christmas Tree, radiating holiday cheer.
Art Installations that Dazzle – moonGARDEN
The dazzling marquee light installation, moonGARDEN will call Celebration Square home from November 23, 2024, through to January 6, 2025. Created in 2012 by Lucion, moonGARDEN has been seen by more than a million people, touring the world, from Lyon’s Fête des Lumières to Brussels, Medellin, Beijing, and now Mississauga. Featuring four majestic spheres that host delicate shadow theatres and soundscapes, this light installation is, without doubt, an invitation to dream and celebrate a more inclusive world.
Outdoor Skating Rink
Lace up your skates and glide across Celebration Square’s renowned outdoor skating rink, one of the largest in the region. Skating is free, making it a must-visit spot for family fun, date nights, or friendly outings. Skate rentals (pricing is based on 2-hour rentals) are available onsite, ensuring everyone can join in the frosty fun.
- Open Daily: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Skate schedule is subject to change. Celebration Square is an outdoor rink that may need to close temporarily during periods of heavy snow or warmer temperatures. To confirm the rink is open, call 905-615-3200 ext. 7465.)
- Ice Rink Holiday Hours
Christmas Eve (December 24, 2024): 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Christmas Day (December 25, 2024): Noon – 6 p.m.
New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2024): 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
New Year’s Day (January 1, 2025): Noon – 8 p.m. - Participants must follow the Skaters’ Code of Conduct while using the ice rink.
Food & Drink Delights
Warm up with delicious comfort food and seasonal treats from food trucks and local vendors. Sip on hot chocolate, mulled cider, or specialty coffees while exploring the festive atmosphere. Participating food trucks include:
