Toronto’s beloved summer mainstay, the ever-popular Beaches International Jazz Festival will be taking place from July 7 – 30, 2017. In celebration of its 29th year, the Festival will feature an unparalleled musical roster, multiple stages and venues and the return of renowned and adored festival favourites.
A highly anticipated lineup of performances will swing in to Woodbine Park from Friday July 21 – Sunday July 23 at the TD Main Stage, and at the OLG Main Stage from Friday July 28 – Sunday July 30. Performances will showcase the sensational musical talents of established and emerging artists.
After the resounding success of its inaugural year, the Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside will return to Jimmie Simpson Park, with performances taking place from Friday July 7 – Sunday July 9. Celebrating the sounds of the international community, the Beaches Jazz Latin Carnival will be returning to Woodbine Park for its second year Friday July 14 – Sunday 16, showcasing the lively melodies of salsa, merengue and cumbia. Expanding its program offerings, the Beach Village Kew Gardens Series has been extended to include a second weekend, hosting artists Saturday July 15 – Sunday July 16 and Saturday July 22 – Sunday July 23, paying homage to the festival’s humble beginnings at Kew Gardens.
Crowd favourite and festival mainstay, StreetFest returns once again this year with an abundance of artists and a line-up of gourmet food trucks from Thursday July 27 – Saturday July 29 on Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues. The melodies of calypso, new age, jazz, fusion, Latin, blues and Cajun and a wide range of culinary comforts will delight a plethora of fans.
