with CANADA BLOOMS

After a long, cold winter with temperatures consistently below zero, it’s a relief to many Canadians that spring is on its way, and with the promise of warmer weather on the horizon it is the perfect time to start planning your 2015 garden.
For nearly 20 years, Canada Blooms has been helping novice and expert gardeners alike brush up on their skills after a long winter of hibernation.
The wait is over, North America’s largest home and garden event is finally here! The National Home Show, presented by RE/MAX and co-located with Canada Blooms, opens its doors tomorrow with a star-studded lineup of home and garden celebrity experts.
The 10-day show runs March 13-22 at Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, and will feature new and innovative products, trendy décor ideas, and design and reno tips from professionals, all under one roof!
Here are some show and stage highlights to get you thinking about refreshing your space in time for spring.
Friday, March 13
It’s opening day at the show and what better way to start off your spring design plans than to check out Glen Peloso and Jamie Alexander at the Unilock Celebrity Stage presented by Sigmadek. See how your kitchen and dining room as more than just a place to eat!
Saturday, March 14
Catch Canada’s favourite design duo Colin and Justin as they shed light on how good design can improve real estate dollar value. Later, Glen Prairie will show you how to optimize your living space on the Vitamix Kitchen Stage presented by Raywal cabinets.
Sunday, March 15
Jim Connelly will help you find your inner decorator, showing you how to spruce up your home this spring.
Monday, March 16
Join us as March Break begins for some family-friendly fun including special appearances by Spiderman, meet Candice The Ball Python and free face painting. Children and youth are always free to enter, and parents can take advantage of the complimentary daycare – all 10 days!
Tuesday, March 17
Award-winning designer, Evelyn Eshum will show you how to make your kitchen and bath look like a million bucks, while Sandra Pella will share some useful gardening tips for your next outdoor project, getting you spending more time outdoors.
Wednesday, March 18
Learn the Dos and Don’ts of renovating a kitchen with Anastasia Rentzos.
Thursday, March 19
If you’re considering a renovation project, you’ll want to listen to master carpenter Michael Upshall who will be offering a comprehensive guide to renovation.
Friday, March 20
Get cheesy with Cheesewerks’ Kevin Durkee on the Kitchen Stage while Leigh Ann Allaire Perrault and Glen Coyle go through the ABC’s of a Do-It-Yourself project on the Celebrity Stage.
Saturday, March 21
Gardening can be easy and fun! Learn how to take the work out of gardening with Frank Ferragine.
Sunday, March 22
Although it’s the last day, it’s a big one with Jackie Morra on the Celebrity Stage talking about the top 10 design tips for inspirational spaces.
