Bigfoot® Monster Truck Celebrates 50th Anniversary at the Hot Wheels®

Mattel is set to make a thrilling return to the Canadian International AutoShow in 2025, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic Bigfoot® Monster Truck at the Hot Wheels® booth. This legendary vehicle, which ignited the global monster truck phenomenon, will be showcased alongside two remarkable additions from the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends™: the 2016 Star Wars X-Wing Fighter™ Carship and the 2005 Ford SEMA Mustang GT, both making their debut at the AutoShow.

The Bigfoot® Monster Truck, renowned as the first of its kind with an outrageous design and epic proportions, stands an imposing 10 feet tall, 12 feet wide, and 20 feet long. Equipped with a monstrous 1,400 horsepower engine and weighing in at 11,000 pounds (4,989 kg), Bigfoot® is engineered to crush any obstacle in its path. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to capture photos with this colossal vehicle and even pose alongside a life-size monster truck tire.

Adding to the excitement, the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends exhibit will feature full-size, functioning vehicles inspired by the classic 1:64 scale models. The Star Wars X-Wing Fighter™ Carship, reimagined as a high-performance Hot Wheels race car designed for circuit racing, boasts 175 horsepower and a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). This one-of-a-kind car includes custom design elements such as turbo fans and wheels crafted by Mattel’s model shop, making it a must-see for Star Wars enthusiasts and toy car collectors alike. Meanwhile, the 2005 Ford SEMA Mustang GT features a Vortech supercharged 4.6L modular Ford V8 engine producing 430 horsepower, KW coil-over suspension, and a full roll cage, exemplifying Hot Wheels’ commitment to high-performance design.

For collectors and fans, a special event is scheduled on Friday, February 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., featuring a signing by Bryan Benedict. This meet-up offers an opportunity for Hot Wheels enthusiasts to connect and share their passion for cars. Additionally, the Walmart pop-up shop on-site at the AutoShow will feature an assortment of the latest Hot Wheels products. Shoppers who spend $50 or more (before taxes) at the Walmart Hot Wheels pop-up shop will receive a choice of one of two exclusive Hot Wheels die-casts: the 2025 Collector’s Edition Hot Wheels 88 Mercedes Unimog (TT) or the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Golden Promo 5 ALARM™ Vehicle, each available in limited quantities exclusively through Walmart at the AutoShow (while supplies last).

The Hot Wheels exhibits will be located at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre during the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow. The Hot Wheels Garage of Legends and Walmart pop-up store will be situated on the 100 Level of the North Building, while the Hot Wheels Bigfoot® Monster Truck exhibit will be on the 800 Level of the South Building. Attendees are encouraged to visit these exhibits to experience the thrill and nostalgia that Hot Wheels continues to inspire.
