58th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Begins November 18th

November 18 – December 24, 2024
Online, Bell Media Studios, Wish Warehouse

The 58th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish is officially kicking off on November 18th, continuing one of Toronto’s most cherished holiday traditions. For over half a century, the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish has worked to ensure that every child in the Greater Toronto Area experiences the joy of the holiday season, especially those who may be facing challenging times. Organized by CP24 and CHUM 104.5, this annual initiative collects toy and financial donations to support families and children, creating holiday memories that bring hope and cheer.

The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish primarily focuses on providing gifts to children from newborns up to 18 years of age, and contributions in all age categories are greatly appreciated. Every gift has the power to brighten a child’s holiday, and monetary donations allow the organization to ensure no age group is overlooked. Funds raised also go toward community grants and gift cards, which enable families to celebrate the season in a way that meets their unique needs. With financial support from generous individuals, families, and corporate donors, CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish extends its reach across the GTA, lifting the holiday spirits of countless children.

How to Donate:

  • Online Donations: Visit www.thewish.ca to make a financial donation. Contributions in the form of cash or cheques are welcomed and go directly to support families in need.
  • Toy Donations: Bring new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages to the following drop-off locations:
    • Bell Media Studios at 299 Queen St. W., Toronto (until Friday, December 20th at noon)
    • The Wish Warehouse at 1366 Blundell Road, Mississauga (until Tuesday, December 24th at noon)

In addition to the collection of toys, The Wish offers corporate supporters a chance to contribute through employee donation drives or volunteering. Over the years, local businesses, schools, and community groups have become vital contributors, reinforcing the importance of community involvement. The Wish relies on the generosity of individuals and groups throughout the region, making it one of the largest providers of holiday assistance in Canada.

As we enter the holiday season, CP24 and CHUM 104.5 encourage the community to come together and contribute to The Wish, ensuring every child can feel the magic of the holidays. With your help, the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish can continue to make a positive impact, one gift at a time, and carry forward the spirit of giving that defines this season.
